They are specially responsible for the welfare of the brethren. He follows this general message to the Churches with a solemn charge to their teachers. With this thought in their minds, he would have the converts rejoice in their discipline, confident in the faithfulness of Him who was trying them. He showed that it was from God’s hand that judgments were sent upon His people to purify them and prepare them for His appearing.
